Amazon Web Services (AWS) is one of Amazon's fastest‑growing businesses, serving millions of customers across more than 190 countries. We're reshaping how global enterprises consume information technology and empowering developers building the next generation of industry leaders. Our Financial Services customers include innovative organizations such as Allianz, DBS, Capital One, Barclays, and National Australia Bank.
Role Overview As a Senior Account Manager for FSI Austria, your primary mission is to help Austria's leading financial institutions (banks, insurers, capital markets firms, and fintechs) accelerate their AI and cloud transformation and realize measurable business outcomes. You will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, translating complex customer challenges into actionable technology strategies that drive innovation, resilience, and competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Drive digital transformation through meaningful engagement with C‑level executives, IT leaders, architects, developers, and various lines of business within your accounts.
Sell at the most strategic level (C‑level/Board) within assigned accounts and implement a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service adoption.
Drive revenue and increase market share in a defined set of Austria's top FSI accounts; meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to grow the AWS footprint, with emphasis on accounts with existing deployments and those with minimal AWS adoption but large spend potential.
Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services, including Cloud Computing, GenAI, Agentic AI, data analytics, and modern infrastructure for FSI use cases.
Accelerate customer adoption through well‑developed sales engagements and a successful go‑to‑market strategy to achieve transformational customer outcomes.
Maintain a robust, multi‑quarter sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene.
Work collaboratively with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Partners, Support, Solutions Architects, Specialist sellers, Professional Services) to support customer interests.
Strongly advocate for the customer in harmony with AWS business needs; ensure customer satisfaction across your portfolio.
Lead virtual account teams and work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption across the Austrian FSI landscape.
Engage with AWS Product and Service teams to bring customer feedback and feature requests (PFRs) back into the roadmap.
Prepare and present business reviews to senior AWS management.
A Day in the Life You are a critical part of a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services across Austria's leading financial institutions. Your day includes strategic customer engagements at the CxO level, collaboration with Solutions Architects on technical deep‑dives and architecture reviews, pipeline management, coordination with partner teams on joint go‑to‑market motions, and research on FSI market developments and regulatory changes.
