Intelligent Optimisation Consultant

In Intelligent Optimisation (IO), we specialize in transport optimization systems for truck fleets across a range of industries like waste, recycling, postal service, oil and building materials. We have mastered this for more than 15 years now and continue to grow.

Our solutions cover:

Static optimization of master plans and routes

Dynamic planning and execution of daily or weekly plans

Web based front ends

Mobile Web app for live feedback from drivers

We develop generic, scalable systems capable of satisfying our broad range of customers. Our technology stack is based on Windows and covers:

C# (Web Servers, Auxiliary systems, interface mapping)

JavaScript/Typescript (Web front ends)

Git (source code control)

Azure DevOPS (cloud pipeline deployment, test automation)

What We Offer

With us you can work on a full time or hybrid basis from our new sustainable, modern and healthy working space in a state-of-the-art office building conveniently located in our Head Quarter in Limerick. AMCS has approximately 80 employees working from the Head Quarter.

As a member of our Professional Services department, you will be part of our dedicated team of around 50 consultants in Netherlands, Denmark, Berlin and Limerick. Here you will be involved in delivering advanced planning and control solutions for our customers. We are hiring new consultants to our Premium Services team that improve and develop our live customers solutions. The AMCS solutions are very complex software packages based on advanced optimization algorithms and state of the art software technology. As the solutions are mission critical to our customers, it requires the highest degree of skills and dedication of the team. You will be working for customers in UK and rest Europe.

In Premium Services, we work in a flat structure with a high level of personal responsibility. We use each other for continuous support and growth, in the belief that this is how we find the best solutions. We focus on understanding our customers business in order to deliver the solutions they need. We take pride in our work and in our products and we are, more than anything else, motivated by making our customers happy.

We want our senior consultants to master the broad portfolio of products and services. You will be responsible for some of our largest customers with 1-5 consultants assisting. Your responsibility will be to make sure we deliver services and enhancements according to contract and estimate. After around 3 weeks of introductory training, you will be assigned to a customer and before you know it you will be ready to fly!

Who Do We Seek?

We need people with:

• Minimum three year experience with managing customers – For example as a Project Manager or Service Manager

• Strong analytical skills – preferably knowledge and/or experience within operations research

• Technical flair and programming experience

• Motivation for interacting with customers and for delivering highest standard services

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and native proficiency in German

Regardless of where you have your key interests, we promise a challenging and exciting work environment!

You must have a master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or computer science and ITIL4 is an advantage.

Overall, we need excellent consultants who sets high standards for themselves. It’s OK if you have no experience with the IO business, yet! The important thing is that you share our passion for delivering high quality planning solutions and for building strong and lasting customer relations.
