Join us and, together, we’ll advance your Website Engineer THE ROLEAMD's Server Software and Solutions Engineering team is looking for a Senior Linux Kernel Engineer to join our Linux Kernel and Virtualization Development team.

In this role, you will help enable AMD x86-64 architecture features in Linux and contribute to the design and development of core CPU and So C capabilities across the Linux kernel and related open-source projects.

You will collaborate with engineers across software and hardware teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance virtualization, memory management, performance, scalability, low-level platform enablement, and Linux distribution integration.

The position offers opportunities to contribute across the full software development lifecycle while engaging with the broader open-source community.

Experience in one or more of the following areas: x86 computing architecture Linux kernel development and debugging Virtualization technologies, including KVM and QEMUOperating systems, memory management, and security concepts Software development across the full product lifecycle Open-source software development and upstream contribution workflows Developing systems software in CLinux kernel subsystems, core kernel, I/O, or platform software GNU development tools and Git-based workflows Working with external partners and open-source communities Operating system concepts, data structures, ACPI, PCIe, and x86-64 architecture Low-level debugging tools, emulators, and simulators Performance optimization, scalability, and platform enablement Additional experience that would be beneficial: Contributions to Linux KVM, QEMU, or other virtualization technologies Experience preparing and submitting patches through open-source development processes Familiarity with virtualization extensions and hypervisor technologies EDUCATIONBachelor's, Master's, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Professional experience in Linux kernel, systems software, virtualization, operating systems, or related areas.
