Join the U.S. Embassy in Austria\’s Facility Management Office as a: Safety Assistant / Inventory Specialist (f/m/d) Duties and Responsibilities: The position is in the Facility Management Office of the U.S. Mission in Vienna. The incumbent supports the Safety Program with assisting a small team of Safety Officers and Coordinators, dealing with assessments, evaluations, inventory control, and record management.The incumbent also oversees the inventory program for the section and logs and tracks materials and orders. In addition, this position serves as backup for the administrative assistant and acts as public point of contact for the entire section. Qualifications and competencies we seek: We are looking for a quick learner with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, who is able to deal with a broad range of personnel in a sometimes-stressful environment: * Completion of secondary school (i.e. High School, HAK, Austrian Lehrabschluss or Matura), * 2 years of experience in administrative office management and customer service, * 1 year of experience reviewing and/or applying safety procedures in shop or office settings, * Knowledge of inventory management and safety regulations, * Good working knowledge in German and English, * Computer literacy (MS Office Suite) with high level user skills in word and data processing.
