About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Grains & Oilseeds Analyst to strengthen our market intelligence capabilities and support commercial decision-making across the division. Based in our Lausanne office, this role offers broad exposure to global agricultural markets and close collaboration with traders, merchandisers, and senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of global grains and oilseeds markets
- Monitor supply and demand balances, crop developments, trade flows, weather patterns, and macroeconomic drivers
- Produce market outlooks, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for management and commercial teams
- Partner closely with traders and merchandisers to support commercial decision-making
- Develop and enhance business intelligence tools, dashboards, and management reporting
- Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI, advanced analytics, and data science within commercial activities
- Present market insights and analytical findings to stakeholders across the business
Profile / Requirements
- Master's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in agricultural commodities, market analysis, trading support, research, or a related field
- Strong understanding of grains and oilseeds markets, supply chains, and global trade flows
- Proven ability to develop independent market views and translate complex information into actionable business insights
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Experience with business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting tools
- Knowledge of Python, SQL, R, AI applications, or advanced analytical tools is an advantage
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset
