Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly self-motivated Homeland Security Sales Engineer to drive top line sales of our InnoRIID product line in the region. The role will engage with Homeland Security customers and provide technical sales support for our InnoRIID product lines, ensuring effective deployment and utilization to enhance national security in European markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Oversee select territory customers, maintaining an in-depth understanding of their activities and product needs.
- Relationship Development: Foster and maintain key relationships within the customer community.
- Collaboration: Work with Business Development and Product Management to identify and grow additional account opportunities.
- Sales Planning: Participate in setting territory sales plans and be accountable for achieving results.
- Data Management: Maintain and manage customer contact and sales forecasting data for the territory.
- Territory Coordination: Collaborate with other territory managers to develop accounts that span geographical boundaries.
- Technical Support: Provide technical applications support and direct sales to customers.
- Reporting: Provide monthly forecasts and weekly updates to the Global Homeland Security Sales Manager.
- Problem Solving: Identify barriers to business and work towards solutions to overcome them.
- Customer Service: Ensure all customer problems or complaints are resolved quickly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field, or equivalent relevant technical experience.
- Minimum of four years of technical selling or direct customer-interactive technical support for Homeland Security products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Effective presentation skills and the ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 50-60% of the time).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with handheld RIIDs, portable detectors, portal monitors, and SPRDs required.
- Understanding of government funding and procurement cycles for Homeland Security products.
- Background in law enforcement, military service, or Homeland Security products.
- Experience with software programs such as SalesForce.com and PowerPoint.
