Job Description:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of warehouse keepers. He/She will be controlling and processing inventory related to receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping goods, supplies, and parts in the stockroom and stocking locations.

What you will do:

1. Responsible for supervising and training warehouse keepers & material handlers
2. Monitoring inventory control function
3. Process and handle inventory posting, transactions, and coordinate inventory movement
4. Coordinate production order kitting to the floor before start date
5. Oversee and develop strategies that improve cycle count process for efficiency and first-pass accuracy
6. Recommend and improve upon inventory accuracy
7. Advise warehouse keepers on care and preservation of items received, storage, and shipping goods
8. Ensure warehouse keepers use equipment with safety as a priority
9. Trace, identify, and rectify discrepancies between physical inventory and stocking records
10. Adjust and track errors for all operations with the mindset to identify root cause and error-proof method
11. Anticipate & implement new processes to improve efficiency of operations
12. Plan layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored
13. Assign duties and examine work for neatness and compliance to policies and 5S procedures
14. Other duties as required and assigned by supervisor

Organizational Relationships:

Supervise the Shipping, Receiving, and Stockroom departments. Work closely with Production Supervisors and Group Leaders on material availability. Interact with Purchasing and Planning, Engineering, Quality Control, and Sales.

What we are looking for:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
2. At least 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
4. Experience in an MRP operating environment; experience in Microsoft Navision is a plus
5. At least 3 years of supervisory experience; ability to handle conflict issues
6. Excellent working knowledge of supply chain management and inventory management with Lean manufacturing principles
