Responsibilities
Develop and maintain process control plans for optical filter fabrication processes (e.g., coating, lithography, etching, inspection)
Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) and ensure effective Statistical Process Control (SPC) to detect deviations and initiate corrective actions
Act as quality representative in risk assessments and boards (e.g., MRB, PCRB), ensuring robust decision‑making for optical filter processes
Lead and participate in structured problem‑solving (e.g., 8D) to identify root causes of process‑related quality issues and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Support internal and external audits, including customer audits and certification requirements (ISO / IATF compliance where applicable)
Collaborate with process and yield engineering teams to identify key yield detractors (e.g., particle contamination, coating uniformity, pattern deviations) and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defect density and enhance product yield
Maintain accurate documentation of quality procedures, specifications, and process changes specific to optical filter production
Interface with R&D, production, and customer quality teams to ensure smooth transfer and ramp‑up of new optical filter processes and technologies
Qualifications
Successfully completed master’s degree in materials science, physics, or chemistry
Initial experience in the semiconductor industry, especially in quality, is an advantage
Good knowledge of quality methods and tools (e.g., change management, SPC, FDC, FMEA, DOE) and their reliable application in manufacturing
Ability to analyze data and communicate insights across functions
Excellent analytical problem‑solving skills, ability to present oneself confidently, and assertiveness
Ability to collaborate with multinational teams
Quality‑oriented mindset
Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
