Role: Interim HR Business Partner
Location: Berlin 4 days per week on site
Contract: 6 to 12 months
Day Rate: €700 per day
Languages: Fluent German and English
Overview
We are supporting a client in Berlin with the search for an Interim HR Business Partner to cover a maternity leave. This is a hands-on generalist role, partnering closely with leaders and supporting the business through a period of change. The focus is on providing confident, pragmatic HR support rather than deep specialist expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted HR partner to business leaders, providing day to day advice across the full employee lifecycle
- Support workforce restructuring activity, including consultation processes and change implementation
- Work effectively with works councils, ensuring constructive engagement and compliance with local requirements
- Manage employee relations matters, including performance, absence and disciplinary issues
- Support organisational change initiatives and ensure clear communication with stakeholders
- Ensure HR policies and processes are applied consistently and in line with German labour law
Experience Required
- Proven experience working as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist in Germany
- Demonstrable experience supporting workforce restructuring and engaging with works councils
- Strong knowledge of German employment law
- Confident operating in a fast paced, change oriented environment
- Able to be hands on and operational while providing clear guidance to leaders
