Lead Data Engineer

pWe're looking for a hands‑on Technical Lead to design and deliver modern data platforms using Snowflake. You'll lead technical architecture, build scalable data solutions and help customers turn business requirements into production-ready data and AI platforms. /p h3Key responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign and implement scalable Snowflake data platforms and migrations. /li liBuild production data pipelines using SQL, Python, Snowpark and dbt. /li liDevelop AI/ML use cases using Snowflake Cortex and Snowpark ML. /li liOwn data modelling, governance, security, performance and cost optimisation. /li liAutomate deployments using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform. /li liIntegrate enterprise data sources such as SAP, CRM and streaming platforms. /li liSupport presales through technical workshops, PoCs and solution design. /li liCoach colleagues and contribute to technical best practices. /li /ul h3What we're looking for /h3 ul li6+ years' experience in data engineering, ideally within consulting. /li liProven experience delivering Snowflake projects in a technical lead or key engineering role. /li liStrong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, performance tuning and cost optimisation. /li liStrong SQL and Python skills, plus experience with dbt and modern data modelling. /li liExperience with production data integration and orchestration tools. /li liHands‑on AWS or Azure experience, including CI/CD and IaC. /li liExposure to AI/ML use cases, ideally using Snowflake Cortex. /li liStrong communication skills and the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders. /li liGerman and English. /li /ul h3What's on offer /h3 ul liA specialist Snowflake environment with access to new technologies and certifications. /li liData and AI projects for established enterprise customers across the DACH region. /li liThe opportunity to influence technical direction and develop new services. /li liA collaborative team with opportunities for mentoring and knowledge sharing. /li liFlexible working arrangements and hybrid working from Zurich. /li liAccess to a wider network of data and AI specialists. /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
