Staff DevOps Engineer

I’m partnering with a rapidly growing SaaS scale‑up in Berlin that’s building a highly scalable, cloud‑native platform—and they’re looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping their infrastructure and engineering culture.

The Opportunity

This is a strategic, high‑impact position where you’ll define architecture, tooling, and engineering standards across the platform. You’ll be the technical leader ensuring the product teams can ship reliably, autonomously, and at scale.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Architecting and evolving cloud‑native platforms across AWS and Azure
• Driving modern CI/CD practices and scaling deployment automation
• Building cloud infrastructure using Terraform and GitOps principles
• Strengthening observability across logs, metrics, and traces
• Improving scalability, resilience, and performance across the product
• Enabling developer autonomy with self‑service tooling and golden paths
• Supporting data workflows and collaborating with data engineering teams
• Introducing GenAI capabilities into developer tooling and operations
• Solving complex technical challenges from architectural design to deep troubleshooting

What They’re Looking For

A senior engineer who can think independently, influence technical direction, and deliver solutions in a fast‑moving environment. Someone who’s as comfortable shaping strategy as they are getting hands‑on.

Key Qualifications

• Strong experience across AWS and/or Azure
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes in production environments
• Experience in high‑growth SaaS or platform‑heavy environments
• A strong understanding of scalability and observability
• Experience enabling developer autonomy through tooling or platform engineering
• The ability to tackle challenges end‑to‑end—from design to debugging
