Position: Requirements & Test Automation Engineer

Location: Geneva

You will be responsible for:

Requirements and traceability

• Working with end users and other teams to understand business needs and functional specifications.
• Writing, reviewing and updating system and component requirements, and ensuring traceability with the functional requirements.
• Complying with the applicable regulations and quality standards.

Testing and automation

• Designing and maintaining test cases covering the requirements.
• Developing and maintaining automated tests in Python (and, to a lesser extent, Java / JUnit / Gherkin).
• Executing manual and automated tests, reporting results and keeping the test management tool up to date.
• Performing formal system tests (Factory Acceptance Tests).
• Analysing and documenting defects in JIRA and identifying their root causes.

Required skills:

• At least 5 years of experience in a safety-critical domain.
• Proven experience in writing software requirements and documentation, and in system and software testing.
• Proven experience with test automation in Python; experience with Java, JUnit and/or Gherkin is a major advantage.
• Ability to understand end-user needs and translate them into requirements and test cases.
• Experience in air traffic control or other real-time, safety-critical domains, and knowledge of standards such as ESARR6/EC482, ED-153, IEC 61508 or ISO 12207, are major advantages.
