Overview
In this role, you will manage core finance and accounting tasks within a German subsidiary of a global construction machinery group. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, support month-end and year-end closing, and collaborate with HQ and external advisers. The role offers cross-functional exposure across Sales, Procurement, Logistics, Operations, and HR, with opportunities to contribute to system and process improvements. You will work in a fast-growing, international environment where close attention to detail drives cost control and compliance.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Maintain accurate financial records and support the preparation of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and management reporting
- Run day-to-day financial operations: bank reconciliations, AP/AR follow-up, supplier invoices, payment requests and employee expenses
- Support month-end and year-end closing, including journals, accruals, reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Support tax and statutory compliance, including VAT returns with external accountants and tax advisers
- Contribute to budgets, forecasts and cost monitoring, flagging variances and cost efficiency opportunities
- Prepare audit documentation, liaise with auditors and help strengthen internal controls and finance processes
- Develop and improve finance processes and internal controls
- Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, HR, Procurement, Logistics, Operations and HQ Finance teams
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Min. 3 years post-graduate experience in finance or accounting
- Working knowledge of local accounting and tax requirements including VAT
- Experience with external accountants, tax advisers and auditors
- Experience in a subsidiary of an international group with reporting to foreign headquarters (strong plus)
- Strong Excel skills and experience with an ERP or accounting system
- Strong attention to detail, numerical and analytical skills
