You will work closely with commercial and operational colleagues, providing practical advice on contracts, business projects and legal risk.Key responsibilitiesDraft, review and advise on commercial contracts, agreements and other legal documents.Assess contractual and commercial risks associated with tenders and requests for proposal.Advise on German contract law and relevant commercial legislation.Support business projects by identifying legal risks and recommending practical solutions.Review internal procedures and recommend improvements to support legal compliance.Conduct legal research relating to existing operations, new jurisdictions and growth markets, coordinating specialist advice where appropriate.Develop and improve contract templates, internal procedures and contracting processes.Provide day-to-day legal advice to management and colleagues across the business.Candidate requirementsA degree in law.At least five years of relevant experience as an in-house legal counsel or practising lawyer in Germany.Strong knowledge of German contract law and relevant commercial legislation.Experience drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and assessing contractual risks.Proficiency in written and spoken German and English.Sound legal judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to explain complex matters clearly.Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities.Experience relating to construction equipment or financial leasing would be advantageous.Chinese language skills would be an advantage, but are not required.The opportunitySalary of EUR 120,000 per annum.A Frankfurt-based, full-time, on-site role, with occasional travel to Waldlaubersheim.Broad involvement in commercial and operational legal matters.International exposure and the opportunity to shape the local legal function.Benefits to be discussed during the recruitment process.ApplyIf this opportunity is of interest, please send your CV to , copying , and we can arrange a confidential discussion.If now is not the right time for you but you know someone who could be suitable, we welcome recommendations.
