Description

In this role, your broad and deep technical knowledge and experience with the cellular ecosystem – from chipsets to mobile devices to base stations to networks and network operators – will be used to its maximum. Your ability to operate equally well in the cellular hardware and software domains will be essential to your success. You will ingest mobile network operator technical requirements and thoroughly understand operators’ network capability trajectory to ensure that the iPhone’s cellular feature set tracks evolving network capabilities. Along with your technical expertise, your communication skills will be of tremendous value when representing mobile network operators’ interests toward internal partners, including software, hardware, and systems teams, as well as Apple leadership. Additionally, your maturity and empathy will be essential when you represent Apple’s cellular roadmap on an outbound basis, toward mobile network operators and other partners. We thrive on data. Your expertise with spreadsheets, your proficiency with relational databases, and your experience with Unix shell, Python, or other scripting will come in handy nearly daily. Information will be the core of your work products, which will include presentations, slide decks, spreadsheets, and all manner of communications within and between teams. While being impeccably organized and self-motivated is essential, CTM differs from TPM/EPM: this position is highly technical and hands-on.

Minimum Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of the 3GPP protocol stack, from RRC/NAS to MAC/PHY
• Expertise in cellular networks, cellular radio spectrum, and cellular infrastructure
• Understanding of mobile device RF hardware systems: PAs, filters, antennas, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Expertise with data analytics / manipulating large data sets using spreadsheets and/or relational databases (SQL)
• Proficiency with software tools/scripting: Unix shell script, Python, etc.
• Familiarity with processes for the development of sophisticated software systems
• Experience with real Large Language Model (LLM) deployments is a plus
