To meet the rapidly increasing demand from our customers in the semiconductor industry, our location near Munich, Germany, is constantly growing.
To strengthen our Materials and Supply Chain team, managed by Applied Materials Israel, we are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Commodity Manager (m/f/d), who will support and collaborate between Applied Materials Israel and Applied Materials (ICT GmbH) in Heimstetten, near Munich.
Responsibilities include:
- Development, alignment, and implementation of commodity strategies.
- Management of all commercial aspects within relevant commodities (precise machining, ceramics, etc.).
- Setting long-term vendor base strategies.
- Establishing and maintaining a robust supply chain for ICT products.
- Managing all costing aspects, including cost reduction opportunities.
- Collaborating with R&D teams in Germany & Israel on technology sourcing and costing.
- Managing business challenges and regulatory issues, leading process improvements.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering or related field; a second degree in Business Administration is an advantage.
- Relevant technological knowledge (Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related).
- Minimum of 7 years purchasing experience in the engineering industry.
- Profound experience in strategic supplier management.
- Strong commercial, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems with broad impact on the supply chain.
- Experience leading cross-organizational projects; leadership capabilities.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.
