• Experience in teaching lectures in the areas of Financial Management, Asset Management, Financial Analysis and Investments, Green Economy and Sustainability, Real Estate and other Material Investments. Experience in teaching advanced versions of these courses is an advantage.
• Work experience in international and national companies.
• Ability to teach courses in English language.
• Ability to teach courses in German language is an advantage.
• Publication and research activity desired.
• Strong ability to communicate and work in a team.

Your Responsibilities

You should be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of new trends and applications in the field of Financial Management as well as in teaching students from various cultures.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

• Conducting introductory and advanced courses in the areas of Financial Management, Asset Management, Financial Analysis and Investments, Green Economy and Sustainability, Economics. Candidates are not expected to be experts in all these areas but should be able to give lectures in at least two of them.
• Planning and implementation of research and development projects including publication activities in the field of business administration.
• Advising and supervising students.
• Grading student work, supervising seminars, projects, bachelor, master and doctoral theses.
• Establishing partnerships with companies and institutions to further grow the network of the University at the Hamburg location.
• Administrative activities and committee work.
• Advising prospective students.

Requirements for professorship:

• University studies completed with a master’s degree.
• Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications.
• Qualified professional experience in the field of the professorship, at least three years, two of them outside of a university.
