About the Role
The EMEA Strategic Industries Sales Team engages in both collaborative and strategic long‑term partnerships to unlock the full potential of Wind River solutions, building new business now and in the near future. The Enterprise Account Manager’s primary responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing new business within existing and new customers in Germany, Austria and key markets in the region.
Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed annual revenue quota targets.
- Develop and execute effective account plans to ensure sustainable revenue growth.
- Build C‑level relationships, including access to Wind River Executive Sponsors.
- Establish a trusted advisor role by understanding customer requirements and delivering value.
- Actively understand each customer’s technology footprint, strategic growth plans, and competitive landscape.
- Lead the designated territory, including account relationships, prospect profiling, and sales cycles.
- Deliver comprehensive business plans with ROI data to support customer decision processes.
- Use all available resources to solve customer problems with appropriate Wind River products and services.
- Drive revenue growth through software subscriptions, licensing, professional services, consulting, enablement, and education services.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of quota‑bearing sales experience, preferably selling to decision makers across relevant industries in the region.
- German language fluency is a pre‑requisite; English required. Additional languages are beneficial.
- Experience with Linux, open‑source software, or software development is an advantage.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as VMware and enterprise software such as Red Hat.
- Embedded software sales experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated success with a consultative, solutions/value‑oriented sales approach and team selling environment.
- Strong hunting and prospecting skills.
- Excellent listening, presentation, public speaking, written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage own area.
- Experience using Salesforce.com is a plus.
- Self‑motivated individual who can work independently or in a team.
- Masters degree or equivalent in business administration or computer science.
