HR Manager
to lead all aspects of HR delivery across our Austrian business. This is a hands-on role offering a unique opportunity to combine operational excellence with strategic partnership, supporting both local business priorities and wider European HR initiatives. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with local leadership while collaborating with colleagues across Europe to drive best practice, ensure compliance, and enhance the employee experience. What You'll Be Doing
As HR Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the HR function, including: HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
Managing all core HR processes across the employee lifecycle
Maintaining compliant employment contracts, documentation and employee records
Supporting onboarding and offboarding activities
Driving improvements in HR policies, procedures and governance standards
Ensuring accurate and efficient HR administration
Payroll & Benefits
Leading the monthly payroll process and managing external payroll providers
Reviewing payroll inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance
Supporting salary reviews, benefits administration and employee changes
Acting as the key point of contact for payroll-related queries
Employee Relations & Employment Law
Providing practical and commercially focused HR advice to managers
Managing employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance cases
Ensuring compliance with Austrian employment legislation
Liaising with external legal advisers where necessary
Monitoring legislative developments and implementing required changes
Recruitment & Talent
Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities across the business
Partnering with hiring managers to identify talent needs
Coordinating recruitment processes and candidate experience
Contributing to wider talent initiatives across Ardonagh Europe
HR Systems, Data & Projects
Maintaining high-quality HR data and reporting
Supporting HR system optimisation and process automation initiatives
Producing people analytics and management information
Contributing to key European HR projects, including Dayforce implementation and HR transformation programmes
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a confident, pragmatic and highly organised HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Essential Experience & Skills 5+ years' experience in a broad HR Generalist or HR Manager role
Strong hands-on payroll management experience
Experience working with external payroll providers
Solid knowledge of Austrian employment law and HR compliance requirements
Proven experience managing employee relations cases independently
Experience with HR systems, reporting and process improvement initiatives
Fluent German and professional-level English
Desirable Experience within financial services, professional services or other regulated environments
Degree or professional qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related field
Relevant Austrian HR qualification
