Overview
As a Senior Electrical Project Manager, you lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical infrastructure for data centers, ensuring reliability, energy efficiency, and safety. You work within the Project Management Team Technology to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards, collaborating with architects and MEP engineers. You’ll guide a technical team, manage interfaces, and oversee commissioning and handover. This role drives safe, sustainable solutions in demanding facilities with cross-functional partners.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical infrastructure for data centers
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians
- Develop and approve electrical designs focusing on energy efficiency and reliability
- Collaborate with architects and MEP engineers for integrated designs
- Ensure compliance with standards and safety regulations (VDE, IEC, NFPA 70E, DIN EN50600)
- Manage budgets, resources, schedules, and quality; report to management
- Coordinate with external service providers, suppliers, and contractors
- Support construction phase: tests, FAT/SAT, inspections, handover
- Identify risks and implement value engineering measures
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology or related field; minimum 5 years in electrical system planning and leadership for data centers or large-scale infra projects
- Solid knowledge of energy-efficient electrical systems and industry trends
- In-depth understanding of VDE, IEC, and fire protection standards and safety regulations
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN) and planning tools
- Strong leadership and ability to guide technical teams
- Excellent communication skills in English and German
