br/ppbbPURPOSE OF THE ROLE /b /b /p /ppThe Director, Commercial FPA is the key Finance partner to the Business in 1-2 large European markets and coordinates certain regional FPA activities (planning, pipeline). As a member of country leadership teams, the role works closely with key stakeholders to provide strategic and financial leadership. /ppThe role will lead planning, forecasting, performance management and reporting. Beyond local financial activities, the role also leads specific regional finance processes and actively contributes to finance projects to optimize our ways of working and processes. /ppThe role also provides support on various non-finance topics, connecting all dots to generate forward-looking insights to senior leaders, constructively challenge and share ideas. The FPA Director develops business cases and complex analysis to support influence decision-making, strategic initiatives and optimize resource allocation in order to maximize value creation for the company. /pppbbROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES /b /b /p /ppbStrategic FPA and business partnering /b /plipMember of the country leadership teams and key contact to your business partners for all Finance-related topics /p /lilipLead FPA for your markets, aligning financial plans with business strategy and priorities /p /lilipPartner with local stakeholders to provide insights, challenge constructively and make fact-based proposals /p /lilipAct as a strategic partner to the local LT and develop business cases to ensure financial considerations are incorporated into strategic reflection, support influence decision-making and maximize value creation, such as: /p /lilipAccess strategy design, pricing scenarios modelling, crafting creative reimbursement schemes /p /lilipNew launches: pre-launch preparation resourcing, patient and revenue forecasting /p /lilipInvestment resource requirements /p /lilipCommercial analytics and salesforce effectiveness / incentives /p /liliplocal go-to-market model and headcount management /p /lipbPlanning Performance Management /b /plipLead quarterly PL forecasting cycles and long-range planning processes for your markets /p /lilipDeliver monthly management PL reporting and monitor performance versus forecast, identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities and generating insights /p /lilipDrive effective cost management, resource allocation and value creation: evaluate impacts of opportunities and risks, assess financial implications of strategic initiatives and investments to maximize value creation for the organization /p /lilipWork closely with Distribution and support SOP process to ensure sound management of inventory /p /lipbRegional Finance responsibilities and continuous improvement /b /plipLead certain FPA processes or activities for the entire International region, closely working with rest of FPA community /p /lilipBe the regional referent for certain pipeline assets / indications /p /lilipContinuously improve finance processes and tools, including to embrace AI and use it in your daily work to increase efficiency and value creation /p /lilipLead or support strategic finance projects as required /p /lipbAccounting, controls compliance /b /plipPartner closely with Accounting, Tax and Treasury teams to: /p /lilipEnsure integrity of the local accounting records, robust compliance processes and controls are in place /p /lilipManage accounts receivable /p /lilipSupport various Corporate reporting, tax requirements or any other required activity /p /lilipSupport statutory, tax, audit and other financial requirements /p /lippbbSKILLS AND COMPETENCIES /b /b /p /plipStrong finance expertise with advanced analytical and modelling skills (revenue models and ideally access/pricing), ability to translate complex information into actionable insights. /p /lilipLeadership and Trusted business partner: connector across the organization, demonstrated ability to lead through influence; demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence and self-awareness, concise communication /p /lilipStrong commercial mindset: understanding of business drivers, and the connection between financial outcomes and business strategy /p /lilipStrong learning agility: enjoys and excels in fast-paced, results-driven environments where s/he must tackle and solve complex strategic business challenges and issues, incorporating the newest ideas, technologies, and approaches to business. /p /lilipPragmatic and hands on approach, lead while "rolling up your sleeves" to get things done /p /lilipKnowledge of relevant systems, technology, financial reporting requirements and controls /p /lippbbEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS /b /b /p /plipAdvanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline /p /lilipMinimum of 8+ years of experience in Finance, with relevant experience in FPA /p /lilipPharmaceutical, biotechnology experience strongly preferred. /p /lilipProven ability to operate cross-functionally and as a strategic finance partner to senior stakeholders /p /lipbr/ /p Note: The recruiter will share the locally applicable annual base salary hiring range, provided in your country’s currency, during the recruitment process.
