ulliThe EIC Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. The role serves as the key interface between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Automation teams to ensure equipment availability, process reliability, compliance, and operational excellence. /li /ulh3Key Responsibilities /h3h3Maintenance Technical Support /h3ulliMaintain and support electrical, instrumentation, automation, and process control systems across manufacturing and utility facilities. /liliAnalyze, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and automation-related issues to minimize downtime. /liliPlan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities. /liliSupport root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). /liliEnsure all maintenance activities are executed in compliance with GMP, safety, and quality requirements. /li /ulh3Automation Control Systems /h3ulliSupport and maintain DeltaV Distributed Control System (DCS) and related automation infrastructure. /liliParticipate in configuration reviews, troubleshooting, testing, and implementation of automation changes. /liliCollaborate with Automation Engineers and Process Engineers to optimize control strategies and plant performance. /liliSupport system upgrades, lifecycle management, and validation activities. /li /ulh3MES Digital Systems /h3ulliProvide support for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), preferably Syncade. /liliAssist in troubleshooting production execution and batch record issues. /liliSupport integration activities between automation systems, MES, and business systems when required. /li /ulh3Planning Coordination /h3ulliReceive, assess, and understand maintenance and technical requests from Operations. /liliPrioritize work orders based on plant impact, safety, quality, and production requirements. /liliCoordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to minimize operational disruption. /liliEnsure accurate documentation of maintenance activities in SAP. /li /ulh3Compliance GMP /h3ulliOperate and make decisions in accordance with GMP regulations and internal quality standards. /liliSupport change controls, deviations, investigations, risk assessments, and qualification activities. /liliEnsure all documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready. /liliIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance processes, and operational efficiency. /liliContribute to reliability engineering initiatives and asset management strategies. /liliParticipate in cross-functional improvement projects and commissioning activities. /li /ulh3Required Qualifications /h3ulliDegree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Process Control Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline (HF, BSc, or MSc). /liliSeveral years of experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or process manufacturing environments. /liliFluent German language skills; English proficiency is an advantage. /liliGood understanding of GMP-regulated operations. /li /ulh3Required Technical Skills /h3ulliStrong knowledge of electrical engineering and industrial instrumentation. /liliPractical experience with DeltaV Process Control Systems (PLS/DCS). /liliBasic knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems. /liliSAP maintenance module knowledge is advantageous. /liliExperience with MES systems, preferably Syncade, is advantageous. /liliKnowledge of troubleshooting methodologies and root cause analysis techniques. /liliStrong ability to understand operational needs and translate them into effective technical solutions. /liliExcellent prioritization and workload management skills. /liliHigh level of resilience and ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic manufacturing environment. /liliStructured and analytical problem-solving approach. /liliStrong communication and stakeholder management skills. /liliTeam-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions. /liliProactive, reliable, and quality-focused working style. /li /ulh3Preferred Industry Experience /h3ulliPharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries. /liliExperience working in GMP and validated environments. /liliExposure to commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness activities is beneficial. /liliThis profile is well aligned with a Lonza Biologics manufacturing site supporting production operations, DeltaV automation systems, GMP compliance, and maintenance excellence. /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
