As our Lead Actuary (m/f/d) for Casualty Reinsurance across EMEA, you will take a leading role in delivering actuarial expertise, shaping client solutions, and influencing strategic decision-making across the region.You will combine deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of market dynamics to support strategic decision-making and solution design. Based in Munich or Cologne, you will work closely with broking, analytics, and international teams to deliver practical, client-focused outcomes. You will also play a key role in shaping our Casualty proposition, supporting both client delivery and the continued development of our actuarial capabilities.How you'll make an impactLead actuarial analysis and insight for Casualty reinsurance programmes across EMEASupport the design and optimisation of reinsurance structures for Casualty portfoliosTranslate complex data and model outputs into clear recommendations for clients and brokersWork closely with broking teams to support placement strategies and market engagementProvide subject matter input on Casualty trends, portfolio performance, and risk driversContribute to the development of actuarial tools, methodologies, and data-driven approachesSupport cross-border projects with colleagues across multiple locationsAct as a key point of contact for actuarial topics within Casualty, both internally and externallyContribute to strengthening client relationships and identifying new opportunitiesAbout youExperience working in an actuarial environment with a focus on Casualty lines, for example in reinsurance, insurance, consulting, or brokingKnowledge of Casualty products, pricing, reserving, and risk behaviour across portfoliosThe ability to structure and interpret complex data for decision‑makingExperience using actuarial models and quantitative methodsConfidence working with data and analytical toolsMembership in an actuarial association, e.g. the “Deutsche Aktuarvereinigung (DAV)”Fluency in German and English, with the ability to work confidently in both languagesA collaborative approach to working with teams across different locationsThe ability to take ownership of topics and move them forward #J-18808-Ljbffr
