The Retail Manager is fully accountable for profitable growth, exceptional customer experience and operational excellence across the flagship store and satellite locations. The role combines commercial leadership, proactive business development, marketing and team development, ensuring a seamless customer journey from first contact through installation and aftercare that reflects the brand’s luxury positioning and service standards.
Key Responsibilities / Job Functionality:
Flagship Store/Showroom Management
- Oversee daily operations and commercial performance, maintaining the store’s luxury positioning.
- Drive sales through strategic partnerships, targeted opportunities. and sales analysis.
- Manage the customer journey, visual merchandising, store atmosphere, stock and administration.
Client Experience and Luxury Positioning
- Deliver exceptional, personalized service and handle client enquiries and escalations with discretion and professionalism.
- Build lasting client relationships that encourage loyalty, repeat purchases and referrals.
- Maintain a client database to support personalized outreach and ongoing relationship management.
Coordination with the Installation Team
- Coordinate client projects and installations, ensuring a smooth transition from sale through installation and handover.
- Collaborate with marketing on events and campaigns, sharing client insights and local commercial opportunities.
- Maintain consistent marketing and luxury brand standards across retail locations.
Define and Implement a Marketing Strategy for the Retail Store(s) Under Management
- Develop and implement the stores’ marketing strategy in collaboration with central and local marketing teams.
- Organize at least monthly events for clients and partners, measuring their effectiveness through leads and sales conversions.
- Support the broader development of the brand across Brandenburg.
Team Leadership and Development
- Recruit, onboard and develop retail staff, ensuring appropriate staffing across flagship and satellite locations.
- Provide regular individual coaching on product knowledge, engaging demonstrations and luxury service; create a customer journey playbook.
- Set objectives, review performance and maintain a collaborative, respectful working environment.
- Coordinate outreach to architects, interior designers and custom installers, developing existing relationships and new partnerships.
- Generate leads through networking, external and in-store events, and the affiliate referral program offering 10% commission.
- Ensure the team records opportunities in the CRM, nurtures relationships and follows up to close sales.
Reporting and Commercial Analysis
- Monitor and report on commercial performance across all retail locations.
- Analyze sales data, market trends and client feedback to identify growth and improvement opportunities.
- Manage budgets and operating costs to achieve commercial objectives.
Broader Business Development
- Identify opportunities to expand the brand’s retail presence across Northern Italy.
- Share and implement best practices across retail locations.
Job requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of Commercial and Store/Showroom Management experience in the luxury business. Priority will be given to candidates with a strong background in
- Proven success in growing equity and sales through an autonomously developed commercial strategy
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams across diverse competences.
- Deep understanding of the expectations of customers in the luxury sector and how to exceed them through service and experience.
- Strong analytical mindset; proficiency in the interpretation of complex data sets and the transformation of insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
- Capacity for the identification of market opportunities. Ability to rapidly adjust to change.
- High proficiency in both German (Native) and English (verbal and written).
