We are looking for a Team Leader – Foil Production (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible on a full-time basis.
Your main responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a team of machine operators and production technicians in the day-to-day operations of foil production and finishing.
- Independently plan and organize production activities, ensuring that deadlines, quality standards and cost targets are met.
- Guide, train and coordinate team members, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes.
- Work closely with engineers and scientists to optimize processes and support customer projects and product development initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process weaknesses, implementing corrective measures and monitoring their effectiveness to increase throughput and yield.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the production machinery within the team.
- Analyze machine settings and process parameters, assess their impact on product quality, and troubleshoot operational issues independently.
- Contribute to the planning and commissioning of new roll-to-roll production equipment.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and internal quality standards.
- Maintain close communication with department management to ensure successful project delivery.
Your profile
- A completed technical qualification as a state-certified technician or master craftsperson, ideally in printing technology, process engineering, laminating or coating technology, or a comparable technical field, combined with practical experience.
- At least three years of professional experience in serial production, ideally in roll-to-roll processing, printing, lamination or coating.
- Practical experience in production planning, organization and the management of day-to-day manufacturing operations.
- Team leadership experience, with a hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example.
- A solid understanding of machinery, equipment and process parameters.
- Experience with continuous improvement processes (CIP) and a structured approach to process optimization.
- Enjoy working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Languages: German at C1 level; English at B1 level is desirable.
