IT Product Owner for Lab Technology Solutions (f/m/d)

We are seeking a passionate IT Product Owner to join our growing team. As a key member of the Global IT team, you will play a crucial role in digitalizing our labs and research business function. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results. You will be part of the Lab IT Solutions Product team with four colleagues based in Heidelberg, Germany. The team is known for their scientific understanding and utilizing the latest trends in technology to enable business strategy. The team is fast paced and collaborative. You will report to Jakob Monajemzadeh Thrane, People Leader in Global IT, and to Ivanna Rosendal, Global Head of Digitalization, from a functional point of view. Both are based in HQ in Hellerup, Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will be:

1. Ensuring that the scientists in our lab have a coherent technology offering across applications, instruments, tools and data that evolves with the needs of our scientists.
2. Communicate closely and frequently with our users and scientific leadership to ensure clear understanding of what is most important for our R&D area – and translate what that means for the Lab IT team.
3. Prioritize and manage the Lab IT team’s backlog and participate actively in removing impediments for technology delivery.
4. Ensure close collaboration with other teams in our IT department to manage dependencies and align on priorities.

Qualifications and Skills:

You hold a relevant academic degree – minimum a bachelor’s degree – and 5+ years of experience from a related role in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment.

Furthermore, you have:

1. A background that allows you to understand the work of a scientist in a lab.
2. Hands-on experience with managing and developing a technology product portfolio.
3. Experience with product discovery and decision facilitation.
4. Experience in driving the successful delivery of digital products and platforms.
5. You have been working in an agile team, relentlessly improving your working practices.

Travel: 10 – 25 days per year
