Introduction
At our Berlin site, our employees manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems.
As part of our precision manufacturing team, you support the production of optical components, assemblies, and systems made of glass, glass‑ceramics, and ceramics for our high‑tech small‑batch, single‑part, and prototype production.
Role and Responsibilities
In our CNC team, you will machine highly demanding and specialized materials using advanced technologies such as ultrasonic‑assisted milling and grinding, CNC machining, deep‑hole drilling, cylindrical grinding, and waterjet cutting.
You will work with a continuously expanding fleet of more than 50 unique CNC machines, including the world’s largest installation of ultrasonic machining centers.
- Machine highly demanding workpieces made of glass, glass‑ceramics, and advanced technical ceramics according to engineering drawings and predefined programs.
- Operate multiple 5‑axis CNC machines simultaneously, following defined procedures and using Heidenhain or Sinumerik control systems.
- Prepare the required tooling for production.
- Set up and configure CNC machines.
- Prepare components for subsequent production processes.

Education and Experience
- Successfully completed vocational training as a Machinist, CNC Milling Operator, Flat Glass Mechanic, Metal Technology Specialist, or a comparable technical field.
- Several years of solid experience in machining with 5‑axis CNC milling machines and extensive practical knowledge of demanding manufacturing processes.
- Ability to confidently and independently make adjustments in Siemens controls (840D and Sinumerik One) as well as DIN programs, implementing required modifications reliably and accurately.
- Willingness to work in a three‑shift operation.
- Good German language skills, both written and spoken.
