Your working environment

At our Berlin site, our employees manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems. As part of our precision manufacturing process, you will assist with the production of optical components and assemblies as well as glass, glass ceramic, and ceramic systems for our high-tech small batch, single part, and prototype production processes.

Your tasks

As Occupational Health Specialist / EHS Specialist, you will:

• Ensure EHS in the Manufacturing and other Service divisions in order to maintain a safe working environment and improve as necessary.
• Conduct risk assessments and coordinate necessary measures with specialist departments in order to ensure a workplace design in line with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Provide expert advice to managers and employees in relation to technological feasibility and corrective or preventive measures in all matters of occupational health and safety.
• Promote occupational health and safety awareness by implementing Kaizen initiatives, adopting best known methods, and ensuring good communication within your area.
• Train employees on EHS processes, software tools, and root cause analysis methods.
• Conduct periodic internal audits and effectiveness checks as per the audit plan in order to increase workplace safety.

Your qualifications

• You have successfully completed a degree in engineering (e.g., chemical engineering, process engineering, precision mechanics, mechanical engineering).
• Alternatively, you are a trained occupational health and safety specialist.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in the area of occupational health and safety and environmental protection at a manufacturing company in the chemical or precision engineering industry.
• You have additional relevant qualifications (e.g., fire protection, hazardous materials, ergonomics, noise, laser safety, project management skills, etc.).
• You have experience with management systems (ISO 45001, 14001, 9001) or relevant problem-solving methods (8D, FMEA, 5xWhy, Ishikawa, etc.).
• You speak fluent German and have very good English skills.
