Senior General Ledger Accountant

You are part of a collegial team which is responsible for providing timely and accurate month end close financials that are US-GAAP and German GAAP compliant. As a Senior G/L Accountant, you are the main contact for questions about taxes, treasury, accounting and compliance, and use your specialist knowledge to support important business decisions.
Your tasks
In this challenging role you will:
- Accompany annual statutory audits and tax audits and be the contact person for the auditors.
- Perform regular cash planning.
- Ensure correct primary accounting and compliance.
- Monitor all accounting processes and implement controls for business process changes.
- Ensure timely financial reporting in accordance with statutory and internal group requirements.
- Conduct reviews as part of the monthly reporting to the parent company and provide information for the quarterly financial review.
- Collaborate on topics such as sustainability reporting, funding and implementation of complex accounting questions in financial accounting.
- Identify, design and drive forward process improvements (e.g. for further digitalization).
Your qualifications
- Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in business administration, accounting, bookkeeping or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience (at least 5 years) with complex financial topics, in the area of financial reporting and in cooperation with auditors.
- Deep knowledge of German GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP.
- Experience with tax-related requirements and statutory audits.
- Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office applications.
- You communicate fluently in English and well in German.
