As a Senior General Ledger Accountant, you will play a key role within our Finance organization. You will ensure the quality and integrity of our financial reporting, work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the preparation and quality assurance of financial reporting as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with statutory, tax, and corporate requirements.
  • Take ownership of compliance with accounting standards and serve as a subject‑matter expert for accounting and reporting matters.
  • Act as the primary interface for external auditors, tax advisors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders in connection with audits, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor accounting processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements while driving their continuous enhancement.
  • Support financial transparency through analyses, balance‑sheet reconciliations, cash‑flow forecasting, and meaningful management reporting.
  • Serve as a key user for financial systems and reporting tools, ensuring their stability and continuous development.
  • Identify optimization opportunities and implement initiatives related to digitalization, process improvements, and efficiency enhancements within Finance.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable qualification.
  • Have several years of professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, and financial statement preparation within a mid‑sized or international business environment.
  • Possess strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), IFRS, and ideally US GAAP, as well as a solid understanding of tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Have experience collaborating with external auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Have hands‑on experience with SAP FI/CO and standard Microsoft Office applications.
  • Communicate confidently in English and have good written and spoken German skills.
