Overview
As a Senior SAM, you will drive business growth in assigned regions and accounts by selling AspenTech’s software portfolio and implementation services. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft client strategies, manage relationships, and close strategic opportunities. Your work will focus on expanding value delivered to customers in the process industries through software and services, contributing to global account progress. This role offers a chance to shape large-scale, multi-year sales campaigns within a dynamic, innovation-driven culture.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop and grow a robust pipeline for AspenTech products within the process industries
- Lead and coordinate multi-divisional account teams to win opportunities
- Manage day-to-day sales process, schedule account meetings, and mobilize sales support
- Provide weekly account updates and forecasts to sales and executive management
- Foster long-term customer relationships and deepen domain knowledge in ML, Smart manufacturing, and IoT
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, industrial, production, or petroleum engineering
- Minimum 5 years software sales experience with a track record against quota
- Proven success in direct software solution sales and multi-million dollar campaigns
- Proficient in establishing 'C' level consultative relationships
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Professional proficiency in German
- Experience selling to Oil & Gas, Chemical, or other process industries
- Familiarity with process modeling software, APC/real-time optimization, asset management, MES, and planning & scheduling solutions
- Travel approximately 50% of the time
