Business Analyst / Abacus Consultant (Treasury & Banking) For a strategic transformation initiative within the Banking and Treasury domain, we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Abacus Consultant who combines strong business process understanding with a hands‑on and pragmatic working style.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with business stakeholders, challenging existing processes, coordinating with implementation partners, and driving solutions from concept through testing and deployment. While knowledge of Abacus is important, the primary focus is on understanding business needs, Treasury and banking processes, and ensuring successful project delivery.
The initial contract duration is
8 months , with potential extension up to
2 additional years .
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, implementation partners, and IT teams
Analyze, document, and challenge business requirements within Treasury, Finance, and Banking processes
Facilitate workshops and discussions with business users to identify improvement opportunities and optimize processes
Support and guide stakeholders throughout project and change initiatives
Collaborate closely with external integrators and solution providers to ensure successful implementation
Contribute hands‑on to project execution and operational activities, not only project coordination
Coordinate and support application‑related activities, particularly within the Abacus ecosystem
Support testing activities, including test planning, execution, defect management, and business user coordination
Troubleshoot process and system‑related issues and drive pragmatic solutions
Ensure clear communication and alignment across all stakeholder groups
Create and maintain business and project documentation
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Business Solution Engineer
Strong understanding of Treasury, Banking, Finance, and Accounting processes
Practical hands‑on experience with Abacus (mandatory)
Experience working with business stakeholders and translating business needs into actionable requirements
Ability to confidently challenge assumptions and drive discussions toward effective solutions
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Experience supporting business testing and user acceptance testing activities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluent German and English language skills
Nice to Have
Experience with GTMatch and/or Finnova environments
Experience working with external integrators or software implementation partners
Previous experience in Swiss banking or financial services environments
Exposure to Finance and Controlling transformation projects
