We are partnering with a leading organisation operating at the intersection of energy markets, weather risk and quantitative trading, who are looking to hire a Senior Weather & Energy Trader for their Zurich office. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a background in energy trading, commodity trading, weather derivatives, quantitative finance or energy risk management to take on a highly visible role within a growing and entrepreneurial team.
Key responsibilities:
Price, structure and execute weather and energy-related transactions
Identify opportunities across European energy and weather markets
Monitor market trends, risks and portfolio exposures
Work closely with trading, risk, quantitative and commercial teams
Support client discussions with market and technical expertise
Enhance pricing methodologies and analytical approaches
Contribute to the growth and development of the business
Candidate requirements: Master's degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, etc.)
5+ years of experience in:
Commodity Trading
Weather Risk
Quantitative Finance
Energy Risk Management
Strong understanding of European energy markets
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Programming skills (Python, R, C++, etc.) are a plus
