- About the Opportunity
- We are currently seeking an experienced
Fund Accountant to join a leading financial services organisation in Frankfurt. This opportunity sits within the
Fund Accounting / IFRS Reporting Team .
The successful candidate will support the preparation of financial reporting for a portfolio of investment funds and clients, working closely with both daily operational activities and monthly reporting cycles.
This is an excellent opportunity for a fund accounting professional with strong analytical capabilities, solid systems knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements for a portfolio of funds and clients.
- Assist with the preparation of IFRS financial statements and reporting activities.
- Reconcile various fund and accounting-related accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve variances.
- Perform daily verification and monitoring of capital flows.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and research as required.
- Support daily fund accounting operations and month-end activities.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance within fund accounting processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support reporting and operational requirements.
- Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum
3 years of experience in Fund Accounting .
- Strong understanding of fund accounting processes and controls.
- Experience preparing or supporting financial statements.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with accounting and financial systems.
- Preferred Experience
- Exposure to IFRS reporting and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with
- Sim Corp Dimension
(highly advantageous).
- Previous experience within asset management, fund services, or investment operations environments.
- Consulting or project-based experience is beneficial but not essential.
