We’re currently recruiting for our client, located on the northern end of the Gold Coast, for their Australia/New Zealand business. This hands-on, full-time, permanent role offers excellent career prospects, including progression to Group Accountant and involvement in the rollout of a new ERP system (Pronto).

The Role
As a Company Accountant/Finance Manager, you will play a key role within the Senior Management Team, overseeing the finance department. This dynamic position requires a proactive approach, managing the financial operations for both Australia and New Zealand. You’ll lead a team of two, responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and report directly to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
- Manage daily cash flow operations.
- Oversee and lead the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Handle foreign exchange transactions and maintain the asset register.
- Perform inventory costing, including price variance analysis and cost roll-ups.
- Prepare and lodge GST and BAS.
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee payroll tax and FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax).
- Manage foreign payments.
- Engage with customers as part of supervising the AP/AR team.
Applicant Requirements
- Qualified CA/CPA (preferred but not essential).
- Experience with an ERP system (essential).
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Comprehensive understanding of cost accounting and general ledger processing (highly advantageous).
- Experience in ERP system implementation (desirable).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and creative thinking for business challenges.
- Proven ability to build strong business relationships and effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
