In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Overall management and smooth operation of the service.
  2. Taking a lead in the engagement, onboarding and induction of new team members.
  3. Maintaining administrative procedures including attendance records, purchasing equipment and resources.
  4. Developing and implementing high quality parent/family communications.
  5. Supporting the innovative educational program development involving observation, planning and implementing learning experiences to promote children\’s development, evaluating, and keeping appropriate records.
  6. Working closely with the Assistant Director and Ed Leader to supervise and support duties for educators and oversee the delivery of the educational program.
  7. Working closely with the Insight EL Leadership Team to maintain the centre’s Quality Improvement Plan.
  8. Proactively setting high standards for staff and Centre performance by nurturing staff morale and promoting positive behaviours.
  9. Driving a positive and respected working environment.

What you will bring:

  1. Previous experience in a management capacity within the Child Care sector.
  2. Demonstrated experience in reaching targets and KPIs whilst adhering to company policies and procedures.
  3. Ability to make changes in operations to improve performance and deliver timely results within allocated budgets.
  4. Somebody who loves celebrating – occasions, achievements, and life – there\’s so much fun to be had celebrating with children!
  5. A positive and professional demeanor with the ability to mentor and coach your team to excellence.
  6. Strong commitment to quality education and care for the children, families, and the team.
  7. A great communicator (verbal and written) who wants to make positive relationships with the families, the team and the community.
  8. A willingness to go beyond the call of duty and the ability to use initiative to continuously improve.
  9. Experience using Qikkids software, Xplor and Humanforce is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Early Childhood from a recognised University (as approved by ACECQA); or a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
  2. Experience as a Nominated Supervisor and Director.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
  4. Current & approved First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Certificates.
  5. Current Working with Children Check.
  6. Completion of Child Protection Training that is current and valid.
  7. Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).
