Wattyl are a part of a global company called Hempel that produce a broad range of paints, varnishes, lacquers and special purpose protective coatings, incorporating trusted brands across the Globe. In our business we are working together to shape a brighter future with sustainable coating solutions for all markets across the world.

We are on the look-out for a Commercial Account Manager to profitably grow the Commercial/Trade business by securing specifications and sale of paint, texture and total coatings through Architects, Designers, Developers and Builders on targeted projects.

As the Commercial Account Manager you will:

  • Overarching responsibility to deliver Major Account opportunities
  • Track all Major Accounts through CRM, converting leads to opportunities
  • Support Architects, Designers, Developers and Builders with Technical, colour and samples
  • Lead Generation; working with Majors- leveraging these relationships as a lead source for Trade customers
  • Develop & Grow customer relationships with Key Major Accounts
  • Actively source BCI leads, through using the BCI lead finder tool
  • Support / Conduct regular business reviews for select major accounts through formalised account plans for business growth (QBR)

In order to be considered you will have:

  • Experience working in a sales driven role that engages with teams across the business
  • Previous construction industry experience
  • Strong background with CRM desirable
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with internal/external key stakeholders negotiating with various people and teams to achieve goals
  • Strong presentation skills, communication skills and organisational skills
  • Specification writing is desirable
  • Project management experience preferred, a high level of commercial acumen is a must
