Director of Financial Planning & Analysis
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a newly created senior leadership role that offers the chance to influence and drive financial strategy for the business group. Based at our Head Office close to Melbourne’s CBD, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and lead a FP&A team. Your strategic insights will be essential in empowering the Executive team and business leaders to make data-driven decisions that support long-term growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive planning and decision support: Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and analysis to inform key decisions.
- Optimise cash flow: Oversee long-term cash flow projections, ensuring financial stability and efficiency.
- Capital investment management: Manage the CAPEX performance management process, providing visibility of spend through enhanced reporting.
- Ensure financial integrity: Oversee month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting to deliver accurate and reliable results.
- Lead external audits: Coordinate financial, compliance, and tax audits, ensuring alignment with statutory standards.
- Champion compliance: Manage and develop commercially viable policies and procedures.
- Lead and inspire your team: Mentor and empower a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration and growth.
- Innovate for growth: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a visionary finance leader with extensive experience in FP&A, adept at leading teams, and skilled in strategic financial management. You will have a deep understanding of business operations, the ability to communicate complex financial insights, and a proven ability to drive financial performance across all functions.
- Tertiary Degree in Finance, Commerce or Business Administration.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CA / CPA) – Essential.
- 20 years’ experience in Finance.
- Excellent report writing skills up to CEO and Board level.
- Experience within Manufacturing and FMCG is highly desirable.
