About the Role:
As a Distinguished Engineer, you will serve as a key technical leader, shaping the future of our platform and ensuring its scalability, performance, and resilience. This role involves high-impact decision-making, mentoring senior engineers, and leading initiatives to solve complex technical challenges while fostering a culture of innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, high-performance systems.
- Define and drive the technical vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and emerging industry trends.
- Serve as a mentor and thought leader across engineering teams, fostering technical growth and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence product development with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Conduct and lead deep-dive technical sessions, addressing performance bottlenecks, system optimizations, and infrastructure improvements.
- Pioneer the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering teams.
- Advocate for and drive continuous improvement in technical processes, from coding standards to deployment strategies.
- Lead critical incident resolution efforts and contribute to post-incident reviews to identify systemic improvements.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Proven track record of delivering technical solutions that drive business outcomes in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Mastery in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or similar, with a focus on developing scalable systems.
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong knowledge of system design, distributed systems, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
- Experience driving technical strategy at an organizational level, with a focus on innovation and long-term scalability.
Nice-to-Have:
- Prior experience as a Principal Engineer or Distinguished Engineer in a high-growth organization.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud strategies and hybrid cloud environments.
- Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in technical communities.
- Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Google Cloud Certified Professional Architect.
