At the Guiding Star, we pride ourselves on quality food, beverage and customer service, and are looking for an experienced hospitality professional to join our team on a full-time basis. We offer Bar & Bistro, 20 room Motel accommodation, and Thirsty Camel drive through bottleshop.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will have a proven operational knowledge of the day-to-day operations of TAB, accommodation, and Food & Beverage – both Back of house & Front of House – with a minimum of 2 years management experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service focus who can deliver high customer expectations. You will also be a capable leader who knows how to get the best from our staff base and build trusted relationships and mutual respect with your teammates. We pride ourselves on understanding, warmth, and exceptional service, along with excellent food and beverages, and are looking for someone who can contribute to the continued success of the venue.

About the role:
Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will assist in the daily operations of the hotel including:
- Hands-on management of the venue including day-to-day operations;
- Willingness to go the extra mile to help drive customer satisfaction and maintain high levels of customer service;
- Assist in the management of labour costs and stock control;
- Ensuring hotel policies and systems are maintained;
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays;
Ideally you will have:
- A career-minded outlook with strong leadership skills;
- Experience with accommodation, with RMS experience highly regarded;
- Previous experience in a management or senior role, with the ability to run a team;
- Confidence in working within a fast-paced, high volume environment whilst providing excellent customer service;
- Strong food and beverage knowledge;
- RSA, and TAB licence are highly desirable.
