About the role:
A rare opportunity has become available for a General Manager – Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) to join the team to lead and manage the HSE function, ensuring the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
Based out of our Brisbane office and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Driving a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and embedding best practices across our operations.
- Fostering a proactive approach to risk management across all projects and operations with the goal of minimizing workplace incidents, enhancing employee well-being, and promoting sustainable practices.
- Developing organizational strategic objectives and plans as well as supporting day-to-day operational delivery requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strategic mindset and hands-on leadership skills, with the ability to enforce HSE best practice.
Your expertise will guide risk management initiatives, foster proactive safety behaviours, and support environmental sustainability in line with our organizational goals. With a strong focus on collaboration and leadership, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver measurable improvements in safety and environmental performance.
As a seasoned professional, you bring extensive experience in senior HSE leadership roles, ideally within high-risk industries such as infrastructure, construction, or resources. You are adept at developing strategic frameworks, managing operational risks, and influencing a positive safety culture at all levels. In addition to your deep knowledge of Australian HSE legislation and standards, you excel in building relationships, leading teams, and delivering innovative solutions.
