About the role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Group Accounting Manager to lead and enhance the organisation’s financial accounting function. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this leadership role will oversee the financial reporting processes, drive compliance, and lead process improvement initiatives. Managing a team of three direct reports, you will ensure the integrity of financial operations and contribute to the ongoing success of a growing organisation in the healthcare services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting: Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger, oversee reconciliations, and maintain the fixed asset register for timely and reliable financial reporting.
  • Compliance and Governance: Manage statutory obligations, including tax compliance, annual reporting, and internal audit processes, while ensuring adherence to internal controls and governance frameworks.
  • Cash Management: Oversee cash flow forecasting, treasury operations, and debt facilities to meet operational and strategic financial needs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement initiatives to improve systems, policies, and reporting processes.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of three, fostering engagement, collaboration, and professional growth.

About you

You are a dynamic and experienced financial leader with a CA or CPA qualification and over five years of relevant accounting experience. You possess a deep understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and governance requirements, coupled with a proven ability to lead finance teams in complex regulatory environments. Your career reflects a strong track record of identifying and implementing process improvements that drive efficiency and accuracy. With exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, you excel at building effective working relationships across diverse teams. Proficiency in Excel and financial systems is a key strength, and experience with Pronto ERP is highly desirable.
