Purpose of Position
The Head of NewCo Adviser and Practice Growth will be responsible for building and executing on the plans for growth within the NewCo business. The role will focus on three specific areas of growth: growth in practices, growth in advisers in existing practices, and growth in clients.
The role will facilitate through strategy and the execution of activities to support the growth ambitions of the business. This position will be supported by the CEO of NewCo.
Duties, Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Lead the strategy development of the three growth areas of focus for the business.
- Execute on the approved activities working with the broader team to take the activities to market.
- Analyse penetration of our offer within the business and work to increase both productivity and take-up.
- Track lead indicators through regular reporting and provide regular updates to the executive and to the broader business.
- Work with the CEO and the NewCo Leadership Team to align activities to the overarching plan in the business.
- Set budgets and drive growth through initiatives and activities including “hands-on” involvement in recruitment initiatives.
- Create the necessary processes and infrastructure to support activities and initiatives.
- Establish detailed tracking and reporting of lead indicators including “sales pipelines and funnels” and present momentum in leadership forums.
- Evolve the strategy for the three areas of growth focus and present ideas and initiatives that will enhance what we already do.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Abilities for Role
- Tertiary qualifications in related finance degrees in financial advice and financial services.
- At least 5-10 years in the financial advice sector with a solid understanding of the various value chains and participants in the market.
- Advanced understanding of relevant legislation and how the profession operates.
- Ability to budget, set targets, and deliver growth.
- Experience in setting strategy and delivering on initiatives.
- Proficiency in reporting regularly to executive level and managing expectations.
- Capability in drafting responses, reports, and papers for boards, forums, and committees.
- Ability to present at Executive meetings.
- Skill in influencing and motivating front line teams to support growth initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead and influence people in the broader team even when they don’t report directly to you.
- Positive attitude with a passion for helping others and a team-oriented mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative and adaptable working style with a growth mindset.
