Are you ready to lead a talented team of developers and play a crucial role in a nationwide digital transformation? Our client, a large industry-leading organization with over 1,500 employees, is expanding its technology team and looking for an experienced Head of Applications to join them and help lead their digital transformation. Reporting directly to the General Manager of Technology, you’ll manage a team of 15 developers across front-end, back-end, and cloud, with the opportunity to grow this team as the transformation evolves.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and expand a team of skilled developers
• Collaborate with the GM to shape the technology roadmap and future state of the applications department, driving the simplification and upgrade of older applications.
• Drive the delivery of the engineering team, staying close to the technology if needs be.
• Focus on delivering exceptional User Experience; mobile development experience is highly regarded
• Contribute to fast-paced, large-scale digital transformations

About You:

• Strong .NET and Azure technical background
• Proven experience managing teams of 15+ engineers
• Hands-on experience with either React or Angular, ideally with some mobile development experience
• Proactive, can-do attitude with experience in large-scale transformations
• Experience managing and engaging with difficult stakeholders
• Consulting background is a plus but not required
