Randstad Senior Finance are recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Head of Corporate Development to join an innovative, venture-backed AI startup at the forefront of clean energy technology. This organisation is disrupting the energy storage market with proprietary solutions that maximise battery performance and enable the transition to renewable energy.
In this critical leadership role, you will define and execute the company\’s commercial strategy, build client relationships, and drive revenue growth across key market segments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Target Operating Model design and implementation
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to grow market presence.
- Analyse market trends to inform strategic decisions and identify business opportunities.
- Contract negotiations including pricing and scenario modelling
- Support Sales Manager to maximise incoming pipeline of work
- Build partnerships with electricity retailers, renewable energy companies, and other stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Significant experience in Australia\’s electricity sector or energy asset development (ideally within renewables)
- A deep understanding of the NEM, energy asset development, and investment dynamics.
- Strong energy industry connections and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- A passion for renewable energy and a proactive approach to driving growth.
Desirable but Not Essential:
- Experience in renewable energy project financing.
- Knowledge of battery optimisation software or bidding systems.
- Familiarity with international energy markets.
