This company is a multi-industry manufacturing leader that operates in SA, NSW, Victoria and NZ with the backing of a global enterprise. This is a unique position as it offers the opportunity to operate independently with the support and collaboration of a Global and National HR team.
It’s important to highlight that this is a stand-alone role – hands-on end to end and is not a Senior HR Manager role. The HR Manager – Oceania provides HR services to internal stakeholders across the Australian and New Zealand businesses and will deliver many people and culture-based initiatives aligned with the long-term business strategy.
This position will encompass the management of the entire employee lifecycle and will experience a great deal of variety and autonomy along with the execution of a variety of projects related to employee engagement, workplace culture, leadership development and capability.
The position…
This is a true HR Generalist role partnering with Leaders and Managers to provide well-rounded end to end HR support that will also drive a number of engagement initiatives across the business. What an exciting opportunity to put your entire HR expertise and knowledge to work.
Reporting to the General Manager, this position will also assist in the development and implementation of many HR project initiatives and plans aligned with the overall business strategy and company values.
This position has a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to; recruitment, induction and onboarding, learning and development, employee engagement, HR administration and HR business partnering.
Day to day…
This position will maintain the service standards within the HR function to employees and managers, including the provision of support in the following areas:
- Assist hiring managers with the end-to-end recruitment process
- Manage the onboarding and induction process
- Manage people reporting metrics
- Provide business partnering advice to Leaders providing advice and coaching on various IR and ER matters
- Provide HR services to the employees
- Update and maintain HR policies and provide advice
- Ensure the company is compliant with all HR matters
- Manage the employee learning and development function
- Support the talent review and succession planning process
- Maintain accurate employee records and data
- Assist managers with the employee performance management and succession plan process
- Complete all HR administrative tasks, including maintaining databases, generating employment contracts, and managing HR-related documentation.
- Assist and execute various employee engagement initiatives including newsletters, surveys, benefit reviews and culture development.

We are looking for a highly credible HR person who can demonstrate experience in all facets of people and culture, including HR Business Partnering, Strategy and Planning, Employee Relations, Learning and Development, Change Management, OD, Recruitment, Onboarding and Offboarding.
We are looking for an experienced Advisor, Business Partner or Senior P & C Generalist who has proven experience or an experienced HR Manager who wants a change of pace where the company can benefit from your expertise having a direct impact on the day-to-day business.
This person will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of HR principles including Employee Relations, WHS Legislation, Return to Work and be able to work autonomously across multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
The ideal applicant will need;
- 3 years HR generalist experience with broad exposure to the HR remit
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources
- Excellent attention to detail to enable creation of high-quality documents and programs.
- To effectively manage relationships internally and externally
- Have exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Ability to research, develop and implement programs to improve and maintain HR & WHS systems.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR practices, policies and procedures
- Experience with organisation and learning and development principles
- Experience with end-to-end recruitment and onboarding practices
- High level administrative capabilities and organisational skills
- Strong computer literacy with experience in reporting and record keeping
