My client, an international second-tier firm, is looking for an experienced IT Audit Director or Partner to work closely with the internal and external audit team in the provision of independent, objective, and insightful third-party IT assurance of the effectiveness and efficiency of governance, risk management, and control processes. In addition, there is an opportunity to get involved in niche areas of risk consulting including IT Audit, Business Continuity, Risk project management, and Risk consulting. You will be exposed to a wide spectrum of clients from Blue Chip Corporates to SMEs and Government/Education-based industry clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders and assist in the delivery of the annual internal audit plan.
- Undertake or lead internal audit assignments in accordance with the internal audit methodology, processes, and key success criteria.
- Provide advice on, and follow up the implementation of the agreed improvement actions.
- Support other team members on assignments and data mining.
- Liaise with the external auditors on a regular basis to ensure there is effective communication across both functions on areas and issues of concern.
- Continuously develop own technical, commercial, and personal skills.
Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years IT Audit experience.
- Demonstrated capacity for commercial-oriented problem solving.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
- Experience within the wealth sector is desirable but not essential.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors is desirable but not essential.
- Graduate qualification in Accounting/Finance or equivalent field.
