About the role
As the Senior Lawyer, you will provide expert legal advice on the interpretation and application of Building, Consumer Protection, Energy Safety, and Labour Relations legislation administered by the Department.
The role:
- Manages complex criminal prosecutions, civil litigation, and disciplinary proceedings in all Courts or the State Administrative Tribunal on behalf of the Department.
- Prepares a variety of complex legal documents.
- Contributes to the preparation of in-house education and training programmes designed to further the Department\’s objectives.
Essential requirements for this role:
- Degree in Law
- Current Australian practising certificate that enables the holder to engage in legal practice as a government legal practitioner or eligible to obtain one prior to commencement of employment.
