We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Workers’ Compensation professional to lead and drive our Workers’ Compensation sales strategy for our large client segment, focusing on ASX-listed companies, large private enterprises and significant government entities. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of complex client needs and the ability to build and maintain strong, strategic relationships at Board and C-suite level.
You will be instrumental in positioning Aon’s Workers’ Compensation insurance and consulting solutions, to help these organizations manage their people risk effectively.

What the day will look like
Reporting to the Head of Workplace Risk, you will use your experience in sales and Workers’ Compensation, along with your extensive experience and enthusiasm.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy targeting the largest clients in the ASX-listed, large private, and government sectors.
- Client Engagement : Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with senior team members, including C-suite executives, positioning Aon as a trusted advisor.
- Sales Growth : Drive significant revenue growth by finding opportunities to expand Aon\’s reach, within these crucial client segments.
- Market Insights : Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to ensure Aon remains a market leader in providing innovative risk management and consulting solutions.
- Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and inspire a small but high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Collaboration : Work closely with internal stakeholders, including senior executives, solution line product teams, client management, and marketing, to deliver new and innovative solutions to potential clients.
- Financial Performance : Oversee the achievement of sales targets.
How this opportunity is different
This role sits within our Human Capital division, specialising in the provision of Consulting and Advisory services to our portfolio of valued corporate clients within Safety, Accident & Health, Life, Workers’ Compensation and Private Health Insurance.
A critical aspect of the role includes face to face client engagement, including collaborating and interacting with the leadership and broader Aon teams. Whilst the role offers hybrid working, it is anticipated that majority of your working time would be onsite with clients/prospects or at the designated Aon office.

A creative, solutions-focused problem solver, you are hungry, proactive and ready to take ownership in this key leadership role. To be successful in this role you will have proven leadership experience and success in business development or sales management, focused specifically engaging with senior workplace risk executives in corporate businesses.
Other experience required:
- Experience : A minimum of 5+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally within the Workers’ Compensation industry, with a focus on large, complex clients.
- Client Focus: Demonstrated success in managing and engaging large corporate clients, large private businesses and government sectors.
- Leadership : Demonstrated capability in guiding and nurturing high-performing sales teams, encouraging innovation and effective strategies.
- Relationship Building : Strong relationship management and influencing skills with the ability to engage with senior executives and key decision-makers.
- Critical Thinking : Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans, aligned with Aon’s broader business goals.
- Financial Savvy : Strong understanding of financial metrics, sales forecasting, and performance management.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
