About the role:

Suncorp is currently embarking on one of the largest transformation programs undertaken – Digital Insurer, which will be one of the largest global implementations of Duck Creek software.

We are now seeking a Platform Delivery Manager with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills to manage the delivery of releases to the Duck Creek platform.

Specifically, you will manage the delivery activity within the Duck Creek Platform to deliver the Platform Plan and take responsibility for managing work, pipeline planning, and delivery across Squads. Additionally, this individual will be a key contributor to helping to build the workforce of the future for Suncorp’s Technology team.

This is a unique opportunity to get involved in this significant program and really showcase your skills within our supportive and collaborative culture.

What you’ll do:

Bring presence and leadership, whilst coordinating delivery across all squads in the Duck Creek platform. This will require the balancing of time constraints, scope management, risk management, and quality adherence to deliver key benefit targets. Key activities include:

  • Maintain roadmap and quarterly planning; support work breakdown and delivery planning to ensure outcomes are delivered.
  • Support pipeline and prioritization of all initiatives.
  • Organise change work, responsible for front line engagement and accountable for user interactions.
  • Status reporting and tracking from beginning to end.
  • Developing a view of the risks (delivery and delivered), issues, and dependencies, including escalation as required.
  • Support proactive management of Platform governance and risks.
  • Working in close partnership with Suncorp employees, vendors, and partners to help achieve the goals of the program.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 7 years platform and/or project management experience across a diverse range of domains and processes including:
  • Experience in Consumer or Commercial Insurance domains.
  • Experience in large-scale SaaS application implementation.
  • Experience with package-based software ie. Guidewire, Endava, Duck Creek.
  • Optionally experience in Duck Creek implementation/ major change project.
  • Good experience (5+ years) with shared implementation models, including offshoring.
  • Minimum of 5 years in technology management within a large complex organisation.
  • Must have Insurance industry experience.
  • An eye for detail, whether this be related to risk management, SOW preparation or project finances.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement ranging from C-suite through to the project team with experience in building successful business relationships.
  • Experienced in various project management disciplines – Agile program experience essential.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, combined with a flexible can-do mindset.
